Since 2003, the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour has travelled more than one million kilometres, visited over 680 towns and communities, and helped raise significant funds for local causes and charities. From Warracknabeal to Walcha to Winton, the Tour brings the thrill, the stories, and the sparkle of the $850,000 18-carat gold Melbourne Cup trophy to racing fans, local legends, and first-time admirers alike.

And now, the Cup is coming to Gawler & the Barossa. Hop on for the full tour with bus transfers, or simply RSVP to attend your preferred stop along the way.

Event Schedule – Monday, 30 June 2025:

Bus Departs from Gawler Racecourse: 7:30am

Make the most of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour experience by hopping aboard our dedicated tour bus! Departing from the Gawler Racecourse at 7:30am, the bus will take you to Aaron Bain Racing for a morning tour and breakfast, then on to Kaesler Wines for wine tastings, and Cup photo opportunities, before returning you to the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club. All this for just $10 per person – a convenient and stress-free way to enjoy the full day without worrying about parking or directions. Bookings are essential as seats are limited.

8:30am – 10:30am Aaron Bain Racing, Angaston Park

Join us at Angaston Park, the iconic property formerly known as Lindsay Park — home of Aaron Bain Racing for a guided tour of the training facilities and a complimentary breakfast.

Spaces are limited, so bookings are essential. We also recommend taking advantage of our bus transfers from Gawler, as onsite parking is limited.

10:45am – 12:45am Kaesler Wines, Nuriootpa

Join us at the stunning Kaesler Wines estate. Home to the legendary Old Bastard and The Bogan wines, with a rich winemaking history dating back to 1893.

The Cellar Door will be open for tastings & purchases along with Patisserie & Farm Shop by Cheryse Zagler with coffee and cakes for purchase.

1:15pm – 3:15pm Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club, Evanston

Join us at the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club for a special Lexus Melbourne Cup Afternoon Tea as part of the 2025 Cup Tour celebrations. The event will feature official presentations from the Victoria Racing Club, a Q&A session with racing personalities, and the rare opportunity to take a photo with the $850,000 Melbourne Cup trophy.

All are welcome to drop in, experience the magic of the Cup up close, and view a selection of Club memorabilia on display or join us with reserved seating and afternoon tea for $20 per person.
