Racing SA, in conjunction with the Port Augusta Racing Club, wishes to advise that the meeting scheduled for Sunday 27th April 2025 has been abandoned.
This is due to unforeseen delays in the supply of the material for the resurfacing of the existing sand track. The supply issue has been addressed and resurfacing and grading works will continue in order to return Port Augusta Racing Club to training and racing as soon as practicable.
Port Augusta President Jeff Tansell stated, “The Port Augusta Racing Club and community are disappointed by these delays to supply; however, be assured that the club is working diligently and closely with Racing SA to ensure timeliness of the upgrade program and look forward to returning as soon as possible”.
Accordingly, Racing SA made the following amendments to upcoming programs;
Balaklava Racing Club - Friday 25th April 2025, (added):
$25,000 Three Years-Old and Up Maiden-Set Weights 1000m
Thomas Farms Murray Bridge – Wednesday 30th April 2025, (amended):
$25,000 Benchmark 58 Handicap 1400m now becomes;
$25,000 Benchmark 60 Handicap 1400m
Racing SA will also look to divide races where necessary to accommodate those horses impacted.
