Why not turn the Australia Day long weekend into an EXTRA-long weekend?

The iconic Ceduna Foreshore Hotel Ceduna Cup is set for another exhilarating instalment when it’s held on 28 January 2023. One of the significant events in the Ceduna calendar, the Ceduna Foreshore Hotel Ceduna Cup is not to be missed!

Situated on the magnificent West Coast of the Eyre Peninsula, Ceduna is renowned for its picturesque beaches, fresh seafood, and is the gateway to the Nullarbor.  

Kicking off the weekend’s events is the Ceduna Cup Calcutta Dinner on Friday 27 January. Hosted by the legendary John Letts, enjoy an evening of fun as excitement builds for Saturday’s main event!

There will be plenty of action on and off the track with eight races during the day plus fashion parades for young and old. On offer is a $500 prize for the Best Dressed Lady and $300 prize for the Best Dressed Man! An enticing selection of food and beverages will be available all day. Closing out the day there will be live music at the Racecourse after the last race.

A courtesy bus will run from the centre of Ceduna out to the Racecourse making getting to the Racecourse easy.

Beyond the Friday evening celebration and Race Day on Saturday, there is plenty to see and do in Ceduna plus a number of accommodation options to suit all budgets.

There are a number of day trips from Ceduna that caters for all tastes and interests. Why not head further west and check out Penong, the world renowned Cactus Beach and the stunning pink beauty of Lake McDonnell or head inland to the majestic Gawler Ranges and see the iconic Pildappa Rock. For those seafood lovers the Ceduna Oyster Barn is a must-visit, meanwhile avid golfers have the opportunity to play the beginning of the Nullarbor Links, the world’s longest golf course, at the Ceduna Golf Club!

Regional Express offers direct flights between Adelaide and Ceduna several times a week. The drive is 8 hour drive from Adelaide and along the way there is some incredible South Australian scenery.
