2022 Mindarie - Halidon Cup

After a sellout race meeting in 2021, racing returns to Mindarie-Halidon on Sunday, September 18th in what will be another great day for the club.

Mindarie-Halidon Racing Club Secretary, Krystina Durdin said the race meeting is always a strongly attended day.

"We are looking forward to welcoming back a strong crowd trackside.

"There is a great opportunity for people to pack their picnic blankets and baskets and enjoy what is sure to be a great day," she said.

The seven race card will provide the racing traditionalists plenty of opportunities to get trackside and chance their hand at backing a winner.

If you are attending the races with your group, aside from the racing there will be live music across the day with plenty of food and drink options to enjoy. The kids are looked after too, with a jumping castle on hand to ensure they burn all of their energy to keep that car ride home a little quieter.

The Mallee location is set to host Fashion At The Races again in 2022, which will no doubt bring out the spring inspired racing fashion outfits in force.

For those interested in trying their hands at FATR, there are multiple categories to consider

  • Best Dressed Lady
  • Best Dressed Man
  • Best Dressed Child

With Cup Day falling on a Sunday, it is the perfect opportunity to pack up the car and head away for a few days. It could be camping close by at the Karoonda Tourist Park, set up home base in Murray Bridge or get the crew together and spend some time on the Murray River at a holiday home in Tailem Bend.
