Being the first Fashion At The Races event of Spring, the Balaklava Racing Club always know how to put on a great show and attract a strong entrant field.
This year is expected to be no different.
Usually one being judged, Jaimee-Lea Bruggemann is stepping off the stage this year to become the coordinator and Face of the Balaklava Cup.
Jaimee-Lea said it is already shaping up to be another great day.
"We are hoping to build on the strong entrant field we had in 2021.
"With a great list of sponsors already committed and more joining each day, we will have some amazing prizes on offer," she said.
While there is no specific theme for the event, Jaimee-Lea is excited to see some spring colours on show.
"We are hoping to see some bright spring colours and to see each contenstant enjoy their time on the stage, and love what they are wearing," she said.
In 2022 there will be a few categories to consider when planning your outfits, and the top 10 in the laides category coming away with a prize.

Three judges have been confirmed for the day, and they provide a great mix of fashion knowledge as well as being FATR competitors themselves:
- Kurt Siviour - a fashions on the field winner and racing enthusiast;
- Stacey Hemera Roberts - fashions on the field competitor and creator at Designs by SHR; and
- Jaimee-Lea Bruggemann - 2019 & 2021 Myer FOTF SA Winner
