2022/23 Country Racing Season

Gawler will kick off the 2022-23 Country Racing season with a mid-week meeting on August 3rd, with Murray Bridge hosting the 2021-22 season finale on the Sunday prior.

The first month of the season sees two non-tab Cup meetings, with Roxby Downs (August 6th) and Quorn (August 20th) hosting their key meeting for the year.

Balaklava will host their Cup meeting on Wednesday, September 14 before a trip to Mindarie-Halidon on Sunday (18th). The Country Cup racing action jumps to Murray Bridge on Friday, October 14, with the Gawler Cup held a week later on Friday, October 21.

The two-day Kangaroo Island Cup Carnival will return in on Thursday, February 16 and Saturday, February 18.

Easter Racing dominates the calendar in April with both Oakbank and Clare racing on Easter Saturday, April 8 before heading to Penola for their big Easter Sunday Cup meeting. Oakbank rounds out Easter racing on Monday, April 10.

CRSA Chairman, Jeff Tansell said he is looking forward to a successful season from the 24 country racing clubs.

"Country Racing SA are looking forward looking forward to bringing another successful race season across our 24 Country Clubs.

"With the COVID restrictions easing over recent weeks, now is a great time to take a look through the race calendar and plan a few trips with family and friends across the year", he said.
