The Easter Racing Carnival at Oakbank is one that should be marked on the calendar well in advance with crowds continually turning out to take in the atmosphere across the weekend.
2022 is no exception. We have a jam-packed weekend of racing and entertainment to ensure that all ages have an amazing day.
In case you need some convincing, here are five reasons why you should be saving the date for the Oakbank Easter Races on Saturday April 16 and Monday April 18.
Reason #1 – Oakbank is the only racetrack in Australia where you can BYO everything!
Yes, you read correctly. You can bring your own food, alcohol and all other drinks into the racetrack (check out the map here). To keep the costs down, why not pack a picnic basket for the kids, a bottle of wine and some beer for the parents, afternoon tea and anything else you need to ensure you enjoy your Easter Saturday.
Reason #2 – There’s a hospitality package to suit everyone
Introducing the Final Furlong package. This is our premium offering for those who enjoy the finer things in life. In this package, you will enjoy lunch, access to the private marquee and reserved season, and 10 beverages.
Want to put on a show for work colleagues or family? How about a private trackside marquee! Oakbank provide the cover, tables and chairs, you can provide the food, drink and good times.
If you're looking to get close to the action trackside, why not book yourself a trackside picnic table to enjoy the day with up to five friends (up to six people per table).

Reason #3 – There’s plenty of freebies to keep the kids entertained
From free pony rides, arts and crafts, ball and arcade games, football activities – the list goes on. We work hard throughout the year to ensure there is enough to keep the kids happy throughout the afternoon – and all FREE.
Did we mention easter eggs? Our jockeys will be playing the role of easter bunny and handing out some eggs to the kids on both days. Thanks to Melbas Chocolates, the jockeys will be handing out some chocolate treats between races 2 and 3, so listen out for the announcement on the day to get the kids trackside.
Reason #4 - Fashion At The Races

Reason #5 – There’s return transport on offer
The easiest way to get to and from the track is with our return bus transfer – making it easier for you to enjoy a few drinks without the need to organise a lift home.
Transport is available from a range of locations across town – from the Adelaide Central Bus Station to The Junction Hotel, Morphetville.
